  • JioCinema is a Video-on-Demand platform that offers a huge collection of digital movies, TV shows, original web series, trailers and music videos across 10+ languages and genres.
  • From where can I download JioCinema?
  • You can download JioCinema from Google PlayStore on Android TV, Amazon App Store on Amazon Fire TV Stick and JioStore on Jio Set Top Box.
  • Do I need to be connected to the internet to use JioCinema?
  • Yes, while the app player automatically adjusts itself to your available internet speed, you can have the best viewing experience with an internet speed of 2 Mbps or above.
  • How do I log in to JioCinema?
  • You can login using the following methods:
    1. Jio Number/FTTx Subscriber ID - OTP based login
    2. Jio ID - Password
  • How do I browse content on JioCinema app?
  • You can browse Movies, TV shows, Clips, Music Videos and Disney-Jio screens in the left navigation menu. If you wish to watch a specific content, you can search using voice or text search by clicking on the search icon on the top left corner of the screen. There are also various recommendation categories with suggested titles based on your viewing habits.
  • How do I continue watching movies and TV shows where I left off?
  • JioCinema offers a ‘Continue Watching’ feature on the Home Screen. Simply scroll down to the first category of the Home screen where your recently viewed movies or TV shows will be saved and you can resume exactly where you left off.
  • How do I filter content by language or genre?
  • You can filter using language and genre categories present on the home screen of JioCinema application. Simply browse through the category and click on the language or genre of your choice. You will then see all titles of that language or genre and you can sort and filter according to movies, TV shows, clips etc.
  • How can I view movies and TV shows of my favourite actor or director?
  • You can view titles with your favorite star cast or director by clicking on the thumbnail images in content description page, present at the bottom of the screen. You can also voice search using the name of the actor/director (e.g. Big B or Sanjay Leela Bhansali)
  • Can I look up a TV show episode by month or year?
  • Yes. These filters are present on TV Show detail page. For TV Shows, which are not released season-wise, you can search for an episode using the 'Month' and 'Year' filters. For shows which are released seasons-wise, you can search for an episode using the 'Season' filter.
  • How do I turn on subtitles of a movie or TV show?
  • JioCinema allows you to enable or disable subtitles for many movies and TV shows. To do so, select a movie or TV show. While the movie is playing, on the player dock, click on the CC icon on the right side of the forward button to activate or deactivate subtitles.
  • How do I change the audio language of a movie or TV show?
  • JioCinema offers many movies and TV shows in multiple audio languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali and more. To do so, select a movie or TV show. While the movie is playing, on the player dock, click on the multiple audio icon on the left side of the rewind button. On clicking, you will see a popup with all available languages. Choose the language of your preference and select OK and your video will resume in your selected audio language.
  • Can I have the interface page in my regional language?
  • No, currently we do not offer this functionality.
  • How many videos can I add to 'My Watchlist'?
  • 'My Watchlist' is your personalized movie and TV show queue on JioCinema. You can add any number of movies and TV shows to My Watchlist from the content description page - and access them across devices using the same log in credentials.
  • How often do you update content on JioCinema?
  • We constantly update our content, adding new and latest Movies, TV shows, Music Videos and trailers to our library.
  • I am not able to open the app. What should I do?
  • Check for network connectivity. If the issue persists, please write a mail to jiocinema@jio.com and report the issue.
  • Can I download a movie/TV show?
  • No. Currently we don't support download on app.
  • My TV show, movie or clip loads slowly or keeps buffering. What do I do?
  • To resolve the issue, troubleshoot using the below steps:
    1. Check your connection speed and ensure a minimum speed of 2 Mbps.
    2. Temporarily pause other internet activity
    3. Try a different internet connection
    4. If you have completed the above steps and video still does not load with good internet connection, log out of the application log in again.
