What is JioCinema?
JioCinema is an app that offers you a huge collection of movies across languages and genres. It also features TV shows and trailers in HD quality. All you need to do is just demand and watch your favourite film, TV show or trailer.
From where can I download JioCinema?
You can download JioCinema from:
  1. For Android devices - Google Playstore
  2. For iOS devices - Appstore
  3. For Samsung Tizen devices - Tizen Store
To use JioCinema, you first have to be a valid Jio connectivity user.
On which devices can I use JioCinema?
JioCinema is currently available on iOS phone & tablet with OS version 7.O and above and Android phone & tablet with OS version 4.3 and above. JioCinema is also available on Samsung Tizen devices with OS version 2.4 and above
Do I need to be connected to the internet to use JioCinema?
Yes, while the app player automatically adjusts itself to your available internet speed, you can experience it best with an internet speed of 2 Mbps or above.
What is the internet speed required to use JioCinema?
While the JioCinema player automatically adjusts itself to your available internet speed, it is advised to have a minimum internet speed of 2 Mbps or above.
What are the key features of JioCinema?
JioCinema enables you to view your favourite movies, TV shows, trailers and videos. Few of our unique features are:
  1. Resume Watching - Watch movies and TV Shows across any of your devices from where you last paused on any other device.
  2. Watch List Feature - Add your favourite TV shows and movies to your watch list and view them anytime as per your convenience.
  3. Auto Play TV Series - If you are watching a TV show, the next episode of the show starts automatically when the current one ends. There is no need for you to search for the next episode and then hit play.
  4. Dock Player function - Dock the player to browse through other content while the video is getting played.
How can I watch a movie or TV show on JioCinema?
Tap on any Movie or TV Show available on the Home screen of the app. You can also browse our vast library of content by accessing Movies, TV Shows and Trailers sections from the left navigational panel (Android) / Jio drawer (iOS). If you have a particular movie in mind, go to Search and type the movie title; or search by your favourite actor, genre etc.
What are the different genres offered by JioCinema?
JioCinema provides a variety of movies and TV shows from different genres, such as action, comedy, documentary, and family. To see the list of all available genres, select the Genres tab under the Movies section of the app.
How can I view movies and TV shows of my favourite actor or director?
You can view search by your favourite tite,actor,director and tags related to a movie(e.g Chulbul Pandey) by tapping on search icon present on each main screen of the app. You can also voice search any content in case of Android. You can also view content by star cast/director from the Movie Detail page - by tapping on the name of your favourite actor/director.
Yes. These filters are present on TV Show detail page. For Indian TV Shows, which are not released season-wise, you can search for an episode using the 'Month' and 'Year' filters. For international shows, which are released seasons-wise, you can search for an episode using the 'Season' and 'New to Old' filters.
How many videos can I add to 'My List'?
'My List' is your personalised movie and TV show queue on JioCinema. You can add any number of movies and TV shows to My List - and access them across devices. You can access your My List from left navigational panel or by tapping on the My List icon (for iPads only).
How often do you update content on JioCinema?
We constantly keep updating our content, adding new and latest Movies, TV shows, Music Videos and trailers to our library. You can find the latest added movies under the 'Latest' tab in the Movies, TV shows and Music Video section.
How do I report an issue or provide feedback on JioCinema?
You can write to us and provide us feedback from within the app. The feedback section is accessible from the Left Navigational panel in Support Section.
Tap on the concerned TV Show thumbnail to open its detail page. If you are unable to find the TV Show under TV Shows section, you can directly search for it on the TV Show detail page. For Indian TV Shows, which are not released season-wise, you can search for your episode by using the 'Month' and 'Year' filters. For international shows, which are released seasons-wise, you can search for your episode using the 'Season' filter. You can look up an episode by its month and year from TV Show detail page.
How do I watch movies of my favourite genre?
JioCinema has a vast library of movies and TV across various genres, such as action, comedy, drama, family etc. You can checkout movies by genres in all the tabs of Movies and TV shows - Most Popular, Recommended, Latest. Here you will find all content sorted by A-Z.
Where do I find out recently viewed movies/TV shows?
Any movie or TV episode that you have not watched completely gets added in your 'Resume Watching' section. You can find 'Resume Watching' section on your Home screen. You can also remove content by tapping on the cross button present on the thumbnail. Your 'Resume Watching' section syncs across devices for same user credentials.
The app is not getting downloaded and giving me error as 'Download Unsuccessful'. What should I do?
The app is only available on Android 4.4 & above and iOS 7.0 & above - both phones & tablets. The app is also available on Samsung Tizen OS mobile devices with OS 2.4 and above. Please check whether your device matches the above requirement. Check for network connectivity by opening a website in device browser. Restart the device and check again. If the above steps do not solve the issue, please write a mail to care@jio.com and log the issue.
I am not able to open the app. What should I do?

Can I share content on social pages?
The feature is not enabled on the app at present.
Can I download a movie/TV show?
Yes. We support download on Android devices for OS versions 4.4 and above. To download any content, click on any content image and tap on download icon present below the video player. You can view the status of your downloaded content in My Downloads section present in the left Hamburger section. To find any content to download, click on Available for Download section from the left hamburger menu.
Can I suggest a movie/TV show if that is not currently available with JioCinema?
Yes definitely. Please suggest content that you would like to watch on JioCinema through Feedback. Feedback can be accessed from Left Navigational panel in Support Section

You can check the following options:
  1. Please ensure your device internet has minimum of 2 Mbps speed.
  2. Check your network connectivity by opening any website on your device browser (safari in iOS, chrome in Android).
  3. Pause all activities which consume lot of bandwidth (e.g. downloading content, video-chatting).
  4. Restart the device & check again.

I am trying to download JioCinema on my device and it is giving me error as 'Can't download from external/non-trusted source'.
Go to your device Settings and choose the settings which allow installation of apps from external/3rd party sources.
Can I uninstall JioCinema?
Yes, just the way you would uninstall any other app from your device.
How do I find out if the latest version of the app is installed in my device? Will it update automatically?
JioCinema does not update automatically but whenever a new update is available, it will be communicated to you for update via Popup or regular app update option(when available) from Google Play/Appstore.
Can I have the interface page in my regional language?
Currently, we do not offer this function.
How much space does JioCinema occupy in phone memory?
JioCinema uses up to approximately 15 MB of space.
Video is pixelated/freezing/breaking. How do I solve this issue?
You can check the following options:
  1. Please ensure your device internet has minimum of 2 Mbps speed.

I am trying to launch JioCinema on my mobile and its asking me to update. What should I do?
Please update. In each new version, we provide new features, bug fixes and resolve compatibility issues.
I just bought a new device. How do I check if it is compatible with JioCinema services?
JioCinema is compatible with iOS phones and tablets having OS version 7.0 & above and Android phones and tablets having OS version 4.3 & above. JioCinema is also available on Samsung Tizen devices with OS version 2.4 and above
How do I delete my account?
