What is JioTV?
JioTV is an application which enables you to view your TV channels and favourite programmes on internet enabled devices, such as smartphones/tablets/Desktop/Laptop. With JioTV you can pause and play a live programme or catch up on any show telecast over the last seven days.

On which devices can I use JioTV?
JioTV is available for Web, mobile, iOS, Android and Tizen devices currently. Web can be accessed on any device. For native devices you need to have iOS version 7.0 or higher /Android OS version 4.1 or higher /Tizen OS version 2.4.0.7 or higher.
Can I access JioTV from my desktop or personal computer?

I have changed my handset/phone, how do I use JioTV on my new device?

Can I install JioTV on a Windows Phone?
Yes. You can access JioTV from https://jiotv.com
Do I need to be connected to the internet to use JioTV?
You need to be connected to internet through a Jio 4G connection to be able to access JioTV.
What is the minimum internet bandwidth required for JioTV?
JioTV requires a minimum internet bandwidth of 300 Kbps.
How many channels are available on JioTV?
Currently, JioTV has 525+ channels on offer and we will continue to add more channels.
Can I watch High Definition (HD) channels on JioTV?
JioTV currently has 90+ High Definition (HD) channels.
What is the minimum internet bandwidth required to play HD channels?
To watch High Definition (HD) channels on JioTV, the minimum bandwidth requirement is 450 Kbps.
Can I have JioTV in regional language?
JioTV is currently available in English interfaces.
We will soon have support for regional languages.
Can I watch regional channels on JioTV?
JioTV currently offers 280+ Regional channels.
Which regional language channels are available on JioTV?
JioTV has channels in various regional languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. You can watch regional language channels of your choice by selecting from the ‘Languages’ drop down menu on the home screen.
I can’t find a few channels that I want to watch. How do I get them?
We have tried our best to include your choice of channels in our library. In case some of your channels are not in the list, please use the ‘Feedback’ section in the menu to let us know.
Video and audio are not in sync
Please get back to us in case for any such issues through ‘Feedback’ section of the app.
Video is buffering/pixelated/freezing/breaking
Please make sure your internet is working and the device is connected. In the application itself, we have a function to check the speed. In the playing video, tap on the ‘+’ on the top right hand side and you will get a pop up from below. Please tap on Video Bitrate option to see the speed you are getting. It has to be more than 450 Kbps for an HD channel and 300 Kbps for other channels to play without buffering.
I receive ‘Network is not available’ message when I try to open JioTV app
This could be a possible network issue. Please check your network connection and try again.
I receive ‘Network Error ‘message when I try to play a channel/video
This could be a possible network issue. Please check your network connection and try again.
I want to watch a programme that has already been telecast. Is this possible?
JioTV has the ‘Catch Up’ feature, available across select channels, which lets you watch programmes telecast over the last seven days.
How can I watch programmes that were telecast within the past seven days?
You can watch your programme using the Catch up feature of JioTV. You can use Catch Up as below:
  1. TV guide: Browse to the programme name/title you want to watch in the TV guide. Now open the Programme Detail screen, listing the programme episodes telecast on the channel in the last seven days. Select the episode and press Play.
  2. Quick search: You can type the programme name in the search bar, to search for the programme. Select your programme from the search result to go to the Programme detail page, listing all the programme episodes telecast in the last seven days. Watch your episode by pressing Play.
How can I view programme/episode synopsis?
Please go to the TV Guide and select the programme for which you want more information. You will see the details of the programme on the screen. You can select the programme to watch by clicking Play.
Can I see details of a programme (e.g. star cast)?
Yes. Click on the programme name from TV Guide you want the details for. You will see programme details screen. You will find ‘More Info’ label below program schedule. Tap on ‘More Info’ to find the star cast of the programme.
How can I mark a channel or programme as my favourite?

Where can I see my favourite marked channels and programs?
We will bring this feature soon.
Is it possible for me to pause a programme on one device and resume viewing the programme (from the point where I paused) on another device?
You can pause a programme and then continue viewing the programme. Simply click on the programme to resume from the point where you paused.
When I pause the programme on one device and then initiate the programme on another device, can I forward the programme during the commercial break and catch up back to the live?
Yes, by fast forwarding the programme. Farthest you can go is till the live point.
How can I search for programmes or channels?
A Search button is available on every screen of JioTV. Tap on the Search icon and key in your search word for any show or channel.
Can I share a programme or what I am watching on the JioTV application through any Social Network?
You can share a programme by sharing the link directly. We will add the social sharing feature soon.
Can I record my favourite programme?
We will bring this feature soon.
How do I provide feedback or suggestions on JioTV?
Go to the footer, click on ‘Feedback’ section and submit your feedback OR email your feedback to ‘jiotv@jio.com’ with Subject ‘JioTV Web Feedback’.
Can I lock certain channels from the parental control perspective?
Currently this function is under development and not available on JioTV.
